Ski area Winter sports arena Tegelberg

The Tegelberg (1,881 m) and the Tegelberg winter sports arena with around 8 kilometres of pistes are only a 10-minute drive from Füssen city centre. The area is ideally suited for families, as the lower slope area with four T-bar lifts and easy slopes is designed for ski beginners. But those who want more will also find it here. A gondola takes you to the top station at 1,720 m, where the Tegelberghaus is not only a nice place to stop for refreshments, but also the former hunting lodge of Maximilian II. From up here, the red, tree-lined main run leads over 4.3 km and 900 m of altitude difference back to the valley station. Another red and several blue runs then branch off at the T-bar lifts. This area is also skiable in the evening thanks to floodlights and freestylers will even find a small fun park.

A special feature at Tegelberg is the service for ski tourers. There are special ski touring evenings for them, on which the huts in the skiing area are open longer and the snowcats only come out later. This means that nothing stands in the way of an ascent at the edge of the piste, followed by a cosy stop for refreshments and a descent in the glow of the headlamp.

Those who want to explore even more slopes will find a large selection in the "Vitales Land" lift association, which includes several ski areas with a total of 159 kilometres of slopes.

Après ski Füssen

There is no shortage of après-ski options in Füssen. Although the classic umbrella bar party at the lift is rather less to be found, the activity programme on the mountain and in the valley as well as the lively nightlife in the town itself will not leave you bored. Those interested in culture will find outstanding sights in the surrounding area, first and foremost the fairytale castle of Neuschwanstein, the Marienbrücke with a direct view of the castle, but also the natural spectacle at the famous Lech Falls.

Füssen is considered the cradle of German ice hockey, so skating, figure skating, curling and of course playing ice hockey are among the obligatory leisure activities. Whether it's icy leisure fun on the frozen lakes in the area or concentrated curling at the German curling base - ice sports fans will love Füssen. On the nearby Tegelberg and around the lakes you will of course also find numerous opportunities for winter hiking and tobogganing. For example, take a hike to the Bleckenau Hut, formerly King Ludwig's hunting lodge, and sledge down a groomed track along the Bleckenau Road from there. Finally, the ultimate romantic experience is a horse-drawn sleigh ride with a view of the snow-covered Neuschwanstein Castle.

For the physical well-being, a wealth of restaurants offer the entire repertoire of regional and international cuisine, and in various bars and the "Big Apple" club, the evening can turn into a long party night as desired.

Snowpark: Snowboardpark Füssen

Snowboarders and freestylers are also well catered for in the winter sports arena on the Tegelberg. Directly at the Adler lift, beginners and advanced riders will find a new practice terrain with several elements in various degrees of difficulty. For beginners, the first step is a wave run and small rails, followed by tables, boxes, rainbow jibs and kickers. For the size of the ski area, the Tegelberg Snowboard Park is very impressive!
