Ski area Arlberg

Ski area Arlberg

The ski area of St. Anton belongs to the Ski Alberg group, along with the ski areas of Stuben, Zürs and Warth-Schröcken. Since the 2018/17 winter season, the ski areas are now bound together thanks to the Flexenbahn, the Trittkopfbahn I and II, as well as the Albonabahn 2 lifts systems. The Flexenbahn lift connects Lech-Zürs with Stuben/Alpe Rauz with its 47 cabins, each for 10 persons - the equivalent of about 120 ski bus trips per day. Additionally, it allows for a gorgeous view of the Klostertal thanks to the large panoramic windows. With the lift pass "Alberg", people therefore have access to a total of 303 kilometres of pistes and 88 lift systems!

Thanks to comprehensive child-care facilities for children and a lot of blue slopes, St. Anton am Arlberg is best suited for families and beginners. The Arlberg (1,300 - 2,811 m) belongs to one of the most reliable regions for snow in the entire Alpine area. In combination with most modern snow-making systems, perfect piste conditions are guaranteed here. The Arlberg is not only famous for it's grand piste quality, but also as a real freerider's paradise. A total of 200 km of deep powder snow runs can be found here, for spending quality time in deep snow fields. The mountain restaurants of the Arlberg lift offer free Wi-Fi hotspots.

The funpark "STANTON" in the Rendl ski area, is the best place to be for snowboarders. Real cracks can try themselves on the sports World Cup racing track just below the Kapall (2,330 m), whilst beginners can get going on the Gampen with their first swings.

Après ski St. Anton

The après ski scene in St. Anton is truly legendary: the atmosphere heats up in international bars and pubs from 3pm onwards. The offer is extensive - mountain lodges like the "Krazy Kanguruh" or the "Heustadl" invite you in to enjoy the last rays of sunshine and toast to a successful day on the slopes. No one should miss the opportunity to visit the "Moosewirt" - après ski with cult status! In the afternoon St. Anton's pedestrian area comes alive, as visitors take to the streets to enjoy the great selection of chic shops, cosy cafes and restaurants. At 2,100 m, the "Galzig Verwallstube" entices guests to Austria's highest-situated chef's toque restaurant with fine delicacies. Later in the evening things heat up in diverse bars, pubs and discos.

Those looking to relax will find their place in the large spa centre "Arlberg WellCom" with 3 indoor pools as well as a sauna and spa area. You can also use one of the many offers a the sports and climbing centre arl.rock. Here you can play squash, tennis, football or go climbing. There is also a trampoline hall as well as the ability to go ice climbing on the outside wall. St. Anton is not only the "cradle of alpine skiing", but also a great place for climbers. In the ski area at Rendl you can find the only winter via ferrata in Tyrol: it is 850 m long, secured with a steel cable, and is especially beautiful because of its panoramic view.

A special highlight is the 4.4 km long natural toboggan run with an altitude difference of 500 m. The descent on the winding sleigh route takes around 15 minutes. Those looking to explore nature can choose from over 80 km of winter hiking trails.

Snowpark: St. Anton

Embedded in the unique landscape of the Arlberg you will find the "STANTON PARK", located at the mountain station Rendl, ideally accessible via 2 ski lifts. It's great location, directly on the brim of the Rendle terrace, provides the chance for both spectators and riders to enjoy the action going on in the park. Thanks to events such as the Acrobag Progression Tour, who in 2015 will be stopping in Europe for the first time, the park has become one of the top location within the scene.

The "STANTON PARK" has a sensational selection for the riders - spread over 3 areas with varying levels of difficulty (beginner, advanced, and pro). The obstacles include various rails and boxes, kickers with 15 m tables, pipes, a wall ride and a big tube, and much more. Head shaper René Friedl and his team are endeavoured to make this park a unique experience for all riders and work hard to leave no wishes unfulfilled.

Next to the "STANTON PARK", a funslope with waves, steep curves, a tunnel, speed boost and two "high five" with sound effects can be found in the ski area. Here, everybody can let off steam, without previous knowledge. You should also check out the Spaßpiste on the Galzig.

If you want to detour to other ski areas from time to time, you don't have to miss out on freestyle fun. In Lech and also on the Sonnenkopf there are further parks to try out. The snow park "Lech am Arlberg" also provides 3 lines with mini kickers for kids and the best triple-kicker line in the entire Alps. On the Sonnenkopf beginners will find lots of space for practising: the beginner fun park offer 5 medium elements, as well as a kicker line (3 - 5 m).
