Information on cross-country skiing
32 km Cross-country trails (in km):
In Obertauern there are 32 kilometres of perfectly groomed cross-country ski trails at your disposal. A particular highlight is the beautiful "Gnadenalmloipe" high altitude cross-country ski trail, which runs for around 20 kilometres at various levels of difficulty at an altitude of 1,350 m through the ski area.
If the various classic and skating-style trails are not enough for you, you can also try out the biathlon shooting range on the Gnadenalm. We also recommend the six-kilometre Hundsfeld trail. It runs largely through the Hundsfeldmoor nature reserve and is very sunny.
A special highlight for cross-country skiing fans is the World Cup trail at the foot of the valley station of the Gamsleiten chair lift. The 6 km long trail is characterised by a medium level of difficulty.
