Ski area Schetteregg

With the "3 Täler Pass" (lift pass) included in the holiday price, you can ski a total of 11 kilometres of pistes, on the sunny slopes of the Schetteregg ski area at an altitude of 1,100 - 1,400 metres. The pistes are mostly surrounded by trees and thus form romantic forest slopes. The ski area offers mostly red marked pistes, but also some very easy blue pistes and a black one. The pistes are mostly very wide, so that it is possible to work on your skiing technique in an ideal way. At the valley station of the chair lift a ski school and a small practice area with a drag lift can be found.

In addition to skiing and snowboarding, it is also possible to enjoy the toboggan in the Schetteregg ski area. The toboggan run is illuminated at dawn or at night and has a length of approx. 100 metres. If you have no own toboggan, you can rent a toboggan in top condition.

With the "3 Täler Pass" (lift pass) you not only have the possibility to explore the multifaceted Schetteregg ski area, but you can also ski in 32 ski areas, in the Bregenzerwald, Großer Walsertal, Tyrolean Lechtal, Rhine Valley, Klostertal and Laternsertal. Here, you can look forward to a total of 327 km of pistes and 151 lifts.

Après ski Lingenau

Although Lingenau is a small town, there is a lot going on in the evening. Around one dozen restaurants in Lingenau will take care of your culinary well being by serving regional and international dishes. Our tip: try the original "Bregenzerwälder Käsknöpfle" (cheese spaetzle), a regional speciality. For a social get-together and a longer evening, you can meet in the Stubó, a cosy pub in a rustic cellar vault. There is also a bowling alley right next door, but it must be reserved in advance. The Lingenau tourist association also regularly organises traditional local evenings and open air concerts, where traditional dancing and clothing are part of the program.

In addition to that, the activity program after a day of skiing is also versatile in and around Lingenau. Hikers can choose between several hiking trails and mountain routes which will lead them through the surrounding Bregenz mountains. Not only in the village itself and on the snow-covered valley bottoms between the villages, but also on the surrounding mountains, routes of varying degrees of difficulty can be found. The routes are marked clearly with pink signs. Guided snowshoe hikes are also offered in the village. If you prefer to get to know the area in a more comfortable way, a horse-drawn carriage ride might be a cosy alternative, which can be booked directly in the village. A culinary high light in the region is the "Erlebniswelt KäseStrasse" (the experience cheese street). An association of farmers developed this adventures program. The farmers are producing the finest cheese specialities with regional ingredients, which are sold in different farm shops, village diaries, as well as on the farms themselves. In addition, a "Käsekeller" (cheese cellar) is located at the entrance to the village Lingenau, in which you can learn more about the production of the cheese wheels.

You can get a good dose of relaxation and spa time in the Vitalhotel Quellengarten in Lingenau. The hotel offers large pool facilities, a sauna landscape, as well as a fitness centre that can also be used by external guests. Additionally, the leisure and adventure pool "Aquaria" in Oberstaufen, approx. 20 km away from Lingenau, offers great possibilities for swimming and relaxation.

Snowpark: Fun park Lingenau

Unfortunately, there is no snowpark in the Schetteregg ski area. The next fun areal for freestylers is only approx. 20 minutes away by car, in the Bödele ski area near Schwarzenberg. Here, beginners and advanced freestylers will find several elements for jibbing and shredding. Even a halfpipe is created if the snow conditions allow it.
