Ski area Hohentauern
With 11 kilometres of piste, this small but beautiful ski area is served by 6 lifts and is an insider tip for pleasure skiers. Family-friendliness is a top priority here, with the magic carpet and children's carousel offering the ideal opportunity for those first turns. For passionate skiers and snowboarders, perfectly groomed natural snow slopes of all levels of difficulty ensure absolute skiing fun.
Afterwards, the "Wichtelhütte" with its sun terrace and magnificent mountain panorama at 1,700 metres is the perfect place to stop for a bite to eat.

Après ski Hohentauern
Hohentauern is known for its tranquillity and cosiness. After a warm Jagertee or a homemade schnapps at the Wichtelhütte, you can head down into the valley.
If you are looking for a sporty change after skiing, you can go snowshoeing or try your hand at Bavarian curling, for example. In good weather conditions, there is an ice skating rink at the Weberteich pond. The toboggan run is also great fun. For those who want to end the day on a more relaxed note, there are numerous guesthouses in Hohentauern or, for example, the Aqualux thermal spa in Fohnsdorf.
