Felix Neureuther - Felix's ski area recommendations

Our "trexpert" Felix Neureuther is vice World Champion in slalom, 9-times German Champion, 13-times World Cup winner and currently the most successful, active German ski racer ever.

I am often asked what characterises a top ski area. A top ski area for me is an area which offers lots of diversity and provides a good challenge on- and off-piste. Therefore it is important that the ski area covers a certain amount of area and has enough difference in altitude (between the highest and the lowest point). Ideally there is a good mixture of vegetation-free areas with great views of the surrounding peaks, and some exciting descents which lead through forest areas. Of course the snow and the weather play a great part in the success of a good skiing day, but unfortunately we can‘t influence these factors. However, artificial snow has developed a lot in the past few years and provides good skiing quality even during less white winters.
