Ski area Saas-Fee
The pistes in the Saas Valley can be skied from November until well after Easter. Thanks to the extreme altitude and numerous snow-making facilities, reliability of snow is guaranteed! Especially in late spring, from mid-March, the Saas Valley is characterised by enormous snowfall and a particularly high duration of sunshine.
The easy, wide and well-groomed glacier pistes offer ideal conditions for beginners. On the outskirts of the village, you can also use three lifts especially for beginners. But advanced skiers will also get their money's worth: below the glacier, the "White Pearl" and the "National" offer unforgettable and spectacular off-piste fun. Below the "Längfluh" chair lift, the unprepared slope attracts mogul piste fans and on the former World Cup slope Plattjen, the "Galen" piste is a challenge even for experts. Another highlight is the 14 km long "Panorama" descent from the 3,500 m high Mittelallalin Felskinn to Saas-Fee. Below the glacier, carvers have their territory on wide, perfectly groomed pistes. You can experience the ever-popular night skiing in Saas-Grund and Saas-Balen. The piste is floodlit once a week in the evening.
Night skiing Saas-Fee
Night skiing is also offered in the Saas Valley. In "Unter dem Berg", a hamlet in Saas-Grund, there is a small night skiing area at the Ziebel village lift. Both night skiing and night tobogganing are possible there on request.Après ski Saas-Fee
For those who prefer a quiet and cosy atmosphere, there are plenty of rustic cafés and restaurants to choose from where you can indulge in Swiss specialities. There is also plenty of action after skiing in Saas-Fee: a six-kilometre-long toboggan run leads from the Hannig panoramic mountain to the village. An even longer toboggan run can be found on the Kreuzboden in Saas-Grund: it is 11 kilometres long. The impressive "Gorge Alpine" via ferrata leads through the gorges from Saas-Fee to Saas-Grund and is supervised by experienced mountain guides. There are also ice climbing courses, taster courses for ski touring, husky fun rides, snowshoe hiking on groomed trails, a bouldering centre and a bowling alley. There should be a suitable leisure programme for everyone.
Saas-Fee also boasts a special experience: the fondue gondola. Whether it's a family gondola with entertainment or pure romance in the candlelight gondola - here, adventurous gourmets can create unique memories. The "Aqua Allalin" leisure centre with indoor pool, sauna area, steam bath, outdoor hot tub and fitness area is the perfect place to round off the evening.
Snowpark Saas-Fee: Fun Park Morenia
With its wide range of different pistes, the extremely reliable ski area of Saas-Fee offers something for every winter sports enthusiast. And that's not all: two different snowparks also attract freestylers - whether professional or beginner. The freestyle park with various kicker lines, boxes, rails, a SuperPipe and a half-pipe is located in the Morenia area at an altitude of around 2,600 metres. You can relax in the chill-out zone in between.
A detour to the beginners' park at Stafelwald is worthwhile for beginners. There, they can try their first tricks on three different lines with varying degrees of difficulty.
Below the Kreuzboden in the Saas-Grund ski area, there is another fun park with various kickers and rails that will make freestyle fans' hearts beat faster.
