Location and facilities

The cosy Hotel Alpin Sherpa is situated in the centre of Meiringen, only approx. 900 m away from the lift. The free ski bus stops about 100 m away from the hotel and the cross-country trails can be reached after about 500 m.

The sport hotel provides you with a reception, lobby with open fireplace and a small hotel library, lift, Wi-Fi, breakfast room, restaurant, ski and shoe room, sports shop, photo shop and hair salon. A payable parking garage is also available to use (upon availability).

In the time from 26/12/2018 - 06/01/2019 and 02/02/2019 - 03/03/19, every Friday there is a free-of-charge night skiing event which takes places between the Mägisalp and Bidmi (for all possessors of a multi-day lift pass). The toboggan shuttle from Meirigen to the Große Scheidegg can be used for free between 25/12/2018 - 07/01/2019 as well as from 03/02/2019 - 04/03/2019 (for all possessors of lift passes that are valid at least for 4 days). Additionally, there is toboggan hire at reduced tariff available at the Schwarzwaldalp.

Important notes

  • Please note that from 25 - 31 December 2018, the annual "Haslitaler Trycheln" takes place in Meiringen. These traditional, nightly processions can lead to noise pollution depending on the location of your accommodation.
  • Children up to the age of 12 can use the lifts for free.
