Location and facilities

Hotel Alpenhof is situated quietly approx. 300 m from the centre of Grindelwald and around 800 m from the entrance to the Grindelwald-First ski area. A ski bus stop can be found only approx. 300 m away. A descent to the house is possible when snow conditions allow it. On request, the hotel offers a ski bus transfer as well as transfers for arrivals/departures from/to the train station Grindelwald (notice required at booking, upon availability).

The facilities of this cosy hotel include a reception, elevator, Wi-Fi and internet corner, common room, breakfast room, restaurant (19:00 - 21:00, closed on Sundays), a bar and a ski room. Free parking spaces can be found by the house (upon availability).

The spa area offers a sauna and an infrared cabin.

The hotel is also part of the Swisstainable sustainability programme, which promotes sustainability in Swiss tourism.

The lovingly decorated rooms offer a bath or shower/wc, TV, Wi-Fi, mini bar (for a fee), coffee machine and a balcony or terrace.

Board

When booking breakfast, the daily breakfast buffet is included in the tour price. When booking half board, the included meals also include a 3-course evening meal. As the restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays, dinner is served in the neighbouring restaurant (approx. 10 min. walk away) on Sundays and Mondays as part of half board.

  • Please note that because the restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays, the half board dinner is served in a neighbouring restaurant (approx. 10 minutes' walk away).
  • Please note that taking along snow chains in the car is highly recommended.
  • Children aged 5 or under will not receive a lift pass voucher as they can use the lifts for free when accompanied by an adult. All children using the lifts independently (e.g. when taking part in lessons), have to acquire a lift pass locally. Further information at the lift office.
  • When booking several-bed rooms or rooms with additional beds, there is no entitlement to the additional beds in the event of under-occupancy.
