Deutschnofen, or "Nova Ponente" in Italian, is the sunniest village in South Tyrol with just under 4,200 inhabitants. The municipality is located 55 kilometres south of the provincial capital of Bolzano on an idyllic high plateau on the Regglberg at an altitude of around 1,350 metres. In summery Kaiser weather, you can enjoy fantastic views of the Dolomites from Deutschnofen, including the Rosengarten (3,002 m), the Latemar (2,842 m), the Weißhorn (2,316 m) and the Schwarzhorn (2,439 m). Overall, the village is characterised by its quiet, scenic character with districts such as Petersberg and Eggen as well as other villages and hamlets.
