We kindly ask for your understanding that due to the increased workload and the dynamic development of current events, the information below cannot always be kept up to date. TravelTrex GmbH is following the current development of the COVID-19 coronavirus very closely. As such, we are in constant contact with our service providers, with our customers in resort and with the various authoritative bodies. Generally speaking, the entire EU has been affected by the spread of the coronavirus, making it impossible to provide a blanket statement as to whether a holiday within the EU poses an increased risk. There is a risk of coronavirus infection within all EU countries, which is why the authorities are primarily giving recommendations on how to contain the coronavirus. Regardless of your location, you should avoid things like large gatherings of people and physical contact (e.g. shaking hands) and further ensure that hygiene measures are adhered to.

As of now, there is no travel warning for a SnowTrex destination. That being said, almost all countries and regions have decided to end their winter sports season earlier than expected in order to contain the coronavirus pandemic.

The development in the remaining regions remains to be seen. As such, we ask for your understanding in that we cannot anticipate any decisions. Without a travel warning, closure of a region or closure of accommodations due to the coronavirus, which are considered exceptional circumstances and allow for a free cancellation, we can currently only cancel a holiday under the contractually agreed upon conditions (see terms & conditions, section 4). This is because the hotels are still awaiting our guests and we must continue to pay for the room even if our guests do not arrive.

The current travel warnings of the DOS* can be found here:
https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice

*Should your country of origin not be the US, yet you have booked via the US website, please refer to your respective Foreign Affairs Office for more information concerning current travel advice and possible warnings.

Providing we receive information about the closing of a booked accommodation, we will also inform all affected customers via e-mail. In that case, we will cancel the booking for free.

If you would already like to cancel at applicable fees or rebook your holiday, please send an e-mail to cancellation-us@snowtrex.com. We kindly ask for your understanding should there be any delays while processing your enquiry, and further ask you to refrain from making enquiries by telephone due to the current increased workload.
