Information on cross-country skiing
20 km km of cross-country tracks:
The idyllic Bode Valley is the home of Thale and offers some of the most beautiful cross-country areas in the region. Especially the district Friechrichsbrunn is a real paradise for Nordic ski fans.
On approx. 20 km of cross-country trails, including 3 perfectly maintained round courses, the cross-country area can be explored. A wonderful view of Friedrichsbrunn can be enjoyed from the approx. 4.5 km long Sonnen-trail. The pretty Ramberg trail takes you along 8.5 km of mostly forested tracks and passes by the Viktorshöhe and the Teufelsklippe (devil's crag).
More experiences Nordic skiers should definitively try the Friedrichsbrunner Runde (round course). This challenging trail is 14 km long and includes the other two trails. The offer is rounded off with the 5 km long trail in the neighbouring resort Allrode, which offers beautiful panorama views towards the Brocken mountain.
