Snowtubing in particular, which is becoming increasingly popular, is a lot of fun here! There are also other manageable but no less exciting ski areas to choose from throughout the region.
Suhl also has 2 small ski areas: The "blackest piste north of the Alps" can be found on the Salzberg in Goldlauter-Heidersbach, for example. The descent is about 1 km long. There is another slope for beginners and families in the district of Vesser.

The Congress Centrum in Suhl is also a venue with a varied programme of events such as concerts and cabaret. There is also a large cinema in the city.
Do you prefer sports away from the piste? Then Suhl and Oberhof also offer you plenty of options. There are tennis and squash facilities, but of course you can also enjoy the afternoon in the fresh air. On a snowshoe hiking tour, for example, on one of the cleared hiking trails or, of course, on a speedy descent on the toboggan slope at the lifts in Vesser.
If the weather doesn't play along, that's no problem either. There is a bowling alley, for example, and the "Indoor Planet" play world with slides, go-kart track, climbing wall and much more for younger holidaymakers. Or you can relax in the H2Oberhof, the wellness and adventure bath with bathing landscape, wellness and sauna area.
Snowpark Oberhof - Fallbach slope: Snowpark
A freestyle playground has been created on the Fallbach slope in Oberhof on the private initiative of some young snowboarders. Both beginners and advanced riders can enjoy themselves in the Oberhof fun park. If there is enough snow, obstacles such as various boxes, rails and tubes are groomed and even freestyle beginners can try their first jumps on simple kickers and boxes.
