Location

The cosy 3-star Alpengasthof Gröbl-Alm guest house is located around 1.8 km from the centre of Mittenwald, where you will also find the first shopping facilities. A ski bus stop is just 90 metres away and the Kranzberg - Mittenwald ski area is around 1 km away (Kranzberg chairlift). A toboggan run is approx. 500 metres away and the start of a cross-country ski trail is approx. 3.6 km away.

Facilities

The general facilities of the accommodation include a reception, lift, Wi-Fi, breakfast room, restaurant as well as a farm shop with homemade products and an in-house schnapps distillery. You can store your winter sports equipment in the ski room. There is a children's playground for the younger ones (use subject to weather conditions). There are also free parking spaces on site, subject to availability, and a charging station for electric cars (for a fee).

The Alpengasthof also has a spa area with sauna, infrared cabin and relaxation room. The solarium can also be used (for a fee).

You will receive the "Alpenwelt Karwendel" guest card on site, with which you can benefit from a number of free services and discounts in the region, such as free use of the ski buses and cross-country ski trails in the region or admission to the surrounding swimming and adventure pools (changes and restrictions to services subject to change, see information on site).

Important notes

  • Please note that you must collect your lift pass from the lift ticket offices in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Garmisch-Partenkirchen is about 15 km away from Mittenwald.
  • No lift pass voucher is issued for children aged 5 or under, they receive a free lift pass when accompanied by their parents. However, as part of a ski course, they require their own valid lift pass (payable on site, further information is available at the lift ticket office).
