Ski area InterSkiregion Fichtelberg/Klínovec

In the "InterSkiregion Fichtelberg/Klínovec", the skiing alliance of the German skiing area around the Fichtelberg (1,215 m) and the Czech skiing area around the Keilberg/Klínovec (1,244 m), a total of 47 kilometres of pistes between 763 m - 1,244 m altitude are at your disposal. The ski area is especially popular with families with smaller children, as about 23 km and thus the majority of the slopes are marked blue and the little ski bunnies can feel especially at home in "Fichtelchens Winterland" and in Klínovec's "Mini Area". Here they are introduced to skiing under professional guidance with a ski carousel, magic carpets and motivating mascots.

But all other winter sports enthusiasts will also get their money's worth in the diverse ski area. There are about 18 km of red and 6 km of black marked slopes. Both ski areas in the ski region offer a snow park on top, including a half pipe that makes freestylers' hearts beat faster.

Not far from Marienberg is also the small but nice skiing area of Geyersdorf. The 0.5 km blue slope is perfect for first attempts on the boards. Here, beginners can first get to grips with winter sports in peace and quiet without getting lost in a ski area that is too big.

Night skiing Marienberg

Night owls can always come to the Geyersdorf ski area on Tuesdays and Fridays between 17:00 and 21:00 for the last turns.

Floodlit skiing is also available in the Oberwiesenthal ski area. Night skiing takes place here every Friday and Saturday between 4:30 and 9 pm. During the holidays, there are usually additional days, which are announced on the ski area's website. In addition, on New Year's Eve you can enjoy the slopes until 2 a.m. and swing into the New Year.

Après ski Marienberg

Away from the slopes, an attractive range of leisure activities awaits holidaymakers in and around Marienberg. Whether tobogganing, on the 26 km of winter hiking trails, on the natural ice rink or in the warm "Aqua Marien" leisure pool - there are several ways to round off a day of skiing here. In addition, you can reach the two charming cities of Dresden and Prague within 1.5 - 2 hours by car. These are home to many historical buildings as well as sights and are therefore wonderful for a day trip.

Typical après-ski can also be experienced in the Ore Mountains. In the Oberwiesenthal ski area, for example, the "Pistenblick" hut becomes a hearty après-ski bar and in "Sabine's Schirmbar" at the valley station you can always stop in for a beer or a schnapps or two.

In Marienberg itself, things tend to be quieter in the evening and you can end the day in a relaxed and cosy atmosphere in one of the restaurants or pubs.

Snowpark: EASTSIDE Snowpark Oberwiesenthal Marienberg

All those who are looking for action are in the right place at the EASTSIDE Snowpark Oberwiesenthal. With three different areas, the park offers the right terrain for all wishes and winter sports enthusiasts. The slide and jump areas score points with freestylers with a total of 24 different obstacles, including boxes, rollers, rails and kickers. For a change from the piste and to get to grips with the various elements from the freestyle area, the fun slope in the family area is the perfect place to go. Here, adventurous winter sports enthusiasts will find, for example, waves and smaller jumps in addition to a speed measuring track.

The Klínovec ski area also has something to offer snowboarders and freestylers. With quarter and half pipes, railings, jumps and other different obstacles for all skill levels, the "Cool Funpark Klínovec" is quite something.
