Location and facilities
The family-run, 3-star Ferien Hotel Rennsteigblick (former Tannhäuser Hotel Rennsteigblick) is located in the spa resort Finsterbergen, approx. 200 m from the resort centre. The Rennsteig hiking trail is approx. 4.5 km away and the centre of Friedrichroda is approx. 7 km away. The ski area Großer Inselsberg is approx. 20 km away and the Oberhof ski area can be reached after approx. 30 km. The nearest cross-country trail can be found about 1 km away.The cosy accommodation's facilities include a reception with entrance area and lobby, a lift, reading room, Internet corner (incl.) and Wi-Fi (incl.), breakfast room, dining hall, restaurant, bar, café, drinks and snack shop and a terrace.The approx. 500 m² large spa area with Finnish sauna and relaxation room, as well as a fitness room can be used for free. If booked and paid for locally, there a massages and treatments in the spa centre available. Free-of-charge parking spaces (based on availability) and a locally payable parking garage are to be found at the hotel.

Breakfast is included in the holiday price. Between 23/12/17 - 02/01/18 there is an extra 3-course menu or buffet (chefs choice) included. From 23/12/17 - 28/12/17 you receive an extra welcome drink at your arrival and a colourful Christmas plate in room.On Christmas Eve, the guests receive coffee and Stollen (traditional cake) with music on afternoon, a easy Christmas hike with mule wine and tea, dancing under the Christmas Tree, as well as an evening entertainment program.
For holidays between 28/12/7 - 03/01/18 there is also included the big New Year's Eve gala buffet with live music and dance on the 31/12, a welcome drink upon arrival as well as a sociable winter hike on the 30/12 with a picnic at Rennsteig and a enjoyable evening program. On the first of January there is a late breakfast.
