Location and facilities

The comfortable 4-star Alpine Hotel Kronprinz is situated in a quiet location, just above Berchtesgaden, approx. 1 km from the centre. The "Rossfeld" ski area can be reached after about 10 km. The nearest public bus stop (no ski bus) is located approx. 300 m away from the hotel. A cross-country trail can be found after approx. 3 km.

The very well run and cozy house has a reception, elevator, WLAN, breakfast room, panorama restaurant with terrace, parlor, lounge and the cozy beer and wine bar "Zum Faßl". You can store your ski equipment in the parking garage (ski room). There are also free parking spaces and a parking garage (for a fee). A charging station for electric cars can be used for a fee.

Relaxation facilities include a spa area with steam bath, sauna and infrared cabin as well as massage and cosmetic treatments (for a fee).

Upon arrival, you will receive a guest card, which grants you access to numerous discounts for museums and events. The guest card also allows you to use almost all bus and train connections in the Berchtesgaden-Königssee tourism region for free (services subject to change, see information on site).

Rooms

The comfortable rooms all have a shower/WC, TV, Wi-Fi, radio, safe, mini bar (for a fee) and hair dryer, and some have a balcony or terrace.

Board

Bookings including breakfast feature a generous Bavarian breakfast buffet with an organic corner. Bookings including half board also feature a 3-course menu or buffet in the evening with vegetarian alternatives, as well as a salad and cheese buffet. Special dietary requirements, such as gluten-free or lactose-free meals, can be requested.

On Christmas Eve (24/12), there is a 5-course menu with a welcome cocktail, and on New Year's Eve, there is a 5-course gala dinner with a dessert buffet, welcome cocktail and music, as well as an extended hangover breakfast on New Year's Day.

Important notes

  • Dogs are not permitted at the restaurant.
  • As of the 24/25 season, skiing on the Jenner will no longer be possible. However, use of the Jennerbahn cable car is included in the lift pass for pedestrians, tobogganists and winter hikers.
  • The RVO bus to the Rossfeld ski area can be used free of charge with the obligatory guest card. If a lift pass is presented, there is no toll charge.
  • When booking several-bed rooms or rooms with additional beds, there is no entitlement to the additional beds in the event of under-occupancy.
