Ski area Wendelstein

In the area around Bad Aibling there are five ski area which offer a selection of difficulties - from beginner to pro skier and boarder!

Approx. 30 km from Bad Aibling, lies the ski area Wendelstein. Located between 791 and 1,723 m altitude, there are 10 km of challenging pistes, which are suitable for both skiers and boarders alike. An insider's recommendation is the 3.8 km long, black descent "Ostabfahrt" to the Mitteralm. The ski area Wendelstein is accessible via a cog railway in Brannenburg, or via the cable car from Osterhofen.

Within approx. 33 km from Bad Aibling lies the ski centre of Kampenwand, with approx. 12 km on offer. Especially recommendable is the 5 km long valley run, covering a difference in altitude of 840 metres!

If prefer some more leisurely skiing, you will find the ski area at Tegernsee, approx. 30 km away, better suited for your needs. This area offers a total of 20 km of piste and is ideal for families and beginners, as most pistes are marked as easy to intermediate.

Also approx. 33 km from Bad Aibling, lies the ski area Hocheck at Oberaudorf, offering 8 km of prepared pistes, of all levels of difficulties. Modern snow canons and a fun park round off the offers. Further, there is a 3 km long floodlight piste, which can be accessed on 4 evenings per week!

The furthest way to go is to the Skiparadies Sudelfeld (800 - 1,563 m), approx. 40 km from Bad Aibling, offering 32 km of piste, specially geared at families. There is a great children's area here, in which the little ones can easily learn how to ski. Modern snow canons ensure good snow coverage and great piste conditions even when the natural weather forecast is not so promising.

Après ski Bad Aibling

After a day on the pistes, the day can remain sporty all around Bad Aibling. In the surrounding area there some great toboggan runs of all levels of difficulty. Nature-lovers will enjoy guided snowshoe hikes through the Wendelstein and the Hochries mountains, across idyllic routes and snowy landscapes.

Yet, there is also the great chance to enjoy some relaxation in Bad Aibling. The "Therme Bad Aibling" pool complex (with thermal waters) also offers a sauna area and is ideal for letting go of everyday worries. There is a large selection of gastronomical establishments and so you can enjoy every day to the fullest.

Snowpark: Burton Snowpark am Spitzingsee Bad Aibling

The ski area Spitzingsee-Tegernsee has the regional park highlight to offer. The 300 m long Burton Snowpark at the Nordhang lift, directly at the Firstalm is one of the Top 3 Snowparks in Germany. Burton presents its german base camp and takes care of the park. Snowboarders and freestylers of all skill levels can enjoy an interesting and diverse programme. The offer of obstacles is extended year by year.

Besides the fun, security takes high priority and so the snowpark offers free rental of helmets and protectors. Further, there is large number of "Smart-Style-Signs" dotted around, with security recommendations. The music station and mountain hut are there to provide for a great atmosphere away from the piste.

In the ski area Sudelfeld, which is also known to be the venue for the Snowboard FIS World Cup, boarders and skiers will find a small funpark directly at the Platten lift. Some intermediate kickers, a box and some rails are available here.
