Ski area Tignes - Val d'Isère

The "Tignes - Val d'Isère" lift pass grants you access to 300 km of the best prepared pistes, of which are expertly interconnected through 82 lifts. The ski area is especially snow sure thanks to its two glaciers, "La Grande Motte" and "Pissaillas," and is popular with both beginners and experts alike.

The ski areas of Tignes and Val d'Isère each offer 150 km of diverse pistes and are connect with each other along the Bellevarde (2,827 m). When looking out from Tignes, you'll have several different views to take in of the mountain lake, Lac du Chevril. Moreover, the area also provides beginners with a great starting point on the Col du Palet as well as green and blue pistes on the upper-half of the Tignes Le Lac. Skiers looking for more of a challenge will find exactly what they're looking for in the glacier ski area on Grande Motte, where legendary views await at an altitude of 3,456 m. Secured and controlled deep snow areas in the Vallon de la Sache also create a paradise for freeriders and diverse skiers. Here, you can take on and conquer a length of 2.8 km and an altitude difference of 1,198 m! A unique experience awaits in the snow park of Tignes, of which offers special tables, slides and jumps for both beginners and pros.

The ski area of Val d'Isère equally offers 150 km of piste, where many wide, easy pistes can be found on the Pissaillas glacier plateau. Because of this, the ski area boasts the "Famille Plus" seal of excellence, proving that the runs are especially designed for families and plenty of child care services can be found. At the same time, a few red pistes can also be found here along with challenging ski routes and more can be found on the Solaise, such as the valley run. At the Pointe du Montet (3.428 m), great snow can be found even from June to September.

Just in time for the start of the 2016/17 winter season, the new 10-person cable car, „Solaise“, will be making its debut as a replacement for the Solaise-Express. The new cable car allows for a transport capacity increase of 40 percent and drastically reduces waiting times. Not only that, there's also seated heats and Wi-Fi available in the cable car as well! The ski area also has a great infrastructure in part thanks to the free Wi-Fi hotpots to be found at several mountain and valley stations.

The areas of Tignes and Val d'Isère are ideally connected with each other and therefore promise pure piste pleasure!
