Ski area Les Sybelles
The massive area of pistes offers ideal conditions for beginners and families with children because the numerous blue pistes arrange for a diverse introduction into the skiing pleasures for the less practised. The mostly blue pistes of Le Corbier bottom out levelly so that beginners or children can reach the village without difficulty at any time. Experienced skiers will also enjoy the 200 km of red and just under 18 km of black pistes.
In addition to many family friendly ski runs, Les Sybelles also offers very good deep powder snow conditions, amongst others, at l'Ouillon, Bellard and Grand Truc. Those who like to let loose on the prepared pistes, will have fun on the black piste "Casse Pipe". Freestylers can run riot in the snow park, and night skiers will enjoy two floodlight pistes.
During the 2016/17 winter season, the ski area made large investments, including the creation of a new red piste from the L'Ouillon (2,431 m) and two brand-new chair lifts. Both the 4-person chair lift Ourson, as well as a the 6-person chair lift Voie Lactée, take off some of the load of the Sybelles-Express at the Pointe du Corbier. Further, the Crozat-Zone has been re-designed and the beginner area in Le Corbier has been fitted with new magic carpets.
Après ski Le Corbier (Les Sybelles)
Even though Le Corbier cannot be equalised with the ravingly successful important centres for alpine après ski, the village nevertheless offers, apart from the pistes, various stopover and recreational opportunities. In addition to the ski huts and restaurants in the ski area you will find a disco and a pub, as well as many cafés and restaurants in the village which are easily accessible all day long because Le Corbier is situated directly at the bottom of the pistes. Those who would like to experience the region from a bird's eye view can book a paragliding flight on-site. But also less courageous travellers will find further recreational activities in Le Corbier - from an indoor pool to the galaxy spa with sauna and steam room to a snow tubing alley.
