Location and facilities
The comfortable 3-star Gasthof Aschenwald is located approx. 1 km from the centre of Westendorf, around 1 km from the Hochbrixen Filzalmsee lift and about 1.5 km from the Alpenrosenbahn lift in the ski area Wilder Kaiser - Brixenthal. A ski bus stops approx. 150 m away and takes you to the ski area comfortably. Cross-country fans can find the next track (Brixental track) only about 500 m distant.The traditional guesthouse offers a reception with safe (incl.), welcome hall with sitting corner, Wi-Fi (incl.), breakfast room "Tyrolean Saal", restaurant, parlour, bar, walk-in ski and snowboard room as well as a heated ski boot room with ski boot drier.
The sauna area with sauna and relaxation room can be used for free upon previous appointment. There are free parking spaces (based upon availability). You are free to join the weekly programme organised by the local tourism association, they offer e.g. hikes, torch hikes and mountain tours (surcharges may be applicable, consult local information).
Rooms
The typical Tyrolean rooms have a shower/wc, cable TV as well as radio with integrated alarm facilities. The double room and double room/additional bed also have a balcony.Board
The holiday price includes half board, which consists of a welcome schnapps (value: € 10) upon arrival, a daily breakfast buffet with muesli corner and high quality regional products (07:30 - 10:00, on Sundays until 10:30) as well as a 3-course menu in the evening. On Saturdays, a Schnitzel evening with salads and side dishes is organised. Vegetarian meals are possible on request.Room type
