With 85 km of perfectly groomed cross-country trails, the Wipptal and its mountain valleys are sheer paradise for cross-country skiers. Directly in front of the Bergeralm middle station, an 8 km high altitude cross-country ski trail leads up to the Nößlachhütte. During the run, a magnificent view opens up over the entire Wipptal valley.
There are also numerous beautiful cross-country trails between 2 and 18.7 km in the neighbouring communities and side valleys, for example in Gschnitz, Vals, Trins and Mühlbachl. The two longest trails, which are also suitable for beginners, lead from Trins and Gschnitz. The Gschnitztal cross-country skiing paradise has been awarded the cross-country skiing seal of approval.
