Cross-country St. Stefan in the Lavant Valley

The region offers several great cross-country trails located about half an hour drive away from Wolfsberg that run by the Koralpe and lead up to the border of Styria. The very popular "Panoramaweg" (panoramic trail) at the Koralpe - a non-prepared trail for beginners and intermediate cross-country skiers - leads diagonally from the Hipfl-Hütte to the Godinger-Hütte. As the name of the exposed trail suggests, it offers a great alpine panoramic view over Lower Carinthia and Styria.

Also the other valleys of the region have some wonderful trails to offer. A 15 km trail runs by the Weinebene for instance, which can be accessed below the Gösler-Hütte. Most of the trails are prepared, but some of them need to be used in skating style. One of these trails runs from the Hebalm through the forest across the mountain pastures for example.
