Ski area 3 Länder Freizeit-Arena

The lift pass "3 Länder Freizeit-Arena" allows you access to a total of approx. 171 kilometres of piste and 61 lifts: apart from St. Johann in Tyrol/Oberndorf, the ski areas Erpfendorf, Pillersee/Buchensteinwald, Kirchdorf, Steinplatte Waidring, Winklsmoosalm - Reit im Winkl as well as the Heutal lifts Unken and the Lofer/Almwelt mountain railway are included in the lift pass.

St. Johann is located between the famous Kitzbüheler Horn - here lovingly called "St. Johann's Horn" - and the Wilder Kaiser. Due to its good northern location, the pistes are also very snow-secure in spring. The 43 kilometres of piste in St. Johann (incl. Eichendorf and Oberndorf) stretch from 659 m - 1,604 m in altitude and can be easily reached with 17 lifts. A modern lift brings you quickly to the Harschbichl peak in two steps. Every Wednesday you can sweep down the slopes under a starlit ski when night skiing is open.

Families and beginners will definitely get their money's worth here, due to the primarily easy to intermediate pistes. The ski area does offer quite a bit for experienced skiers, though, e.g. the black, 3.5 km long FIS Sauregg run from Penzing to Oberndorf or the challenging free ride area at Stanglalm and Kröpfalm!

Snowboarders will love the "Woodside" snow park with quarter pipe, as well as a half-pipe at the Eichenhof lifts. Enthusiasts shouldn't miss the Woodside Opening!

Those, looking for some more diversity can upgrade the lift pass to the Super Snow Card (see Ski Region). This is also valid in the ski areas Wilder Kaiser - Brixental, 3 Länder Freizeit-Arena and Ski Juwel (Alpbachtal - Wildschönau). You can access 25 ski regions in Tyrol and Salzburg, with 2,794 km of pistes, accessible via 916 lifts. Unlimited skiing fun!

Many resorts in Austria have ski areas in which you can use the pistes at night time, and the 3 Länder Freizeit Arena ski area is one of those night ski areas. In St. Johann in Tyrol, very active winter sports fans can go night skiing. The "Rueppenhang" piste at the Hochfeld lifts is illuminated every Wednesday. The double chairlift Hochfeld I is open for night skiing from 19:00 - 21:30. The night ski piste is even illuminated until 22:00, and the piste is approx. 1.5 km long. Access to night skiing is not included in the lift pass, so that tickets have to be acquired in resort. Furthermore, an illuminated night toboggan run is available at the 3-person chairlift Hochfeld II.
