Location

The cosy 3-star Alpenhotel Garfrescha hotel is located approx. 7 km away from the centre of St. Gallenkirch at an altitude of approx. 1.500 m. The Garfreschabahn cable car, which is only a few metres away from your accommodation, will take you to the ski area. Alpine skiers and snowboarders can get on a slope directly at the door.

Facilities

The friendly furnished hotel offers various amenities, such as a lobby, a dining room, a hotel restaurant, a hotel bar, a terrace (with service) and a conservatory. Wi-Fi is available in the lobby. Guests can store their ski and snowboarding equipment in a ski storage room. Drivers can use a parking lot - subject to availability.

Children

The children's playroom offers a range of play experiences for young guests to keep them content and entertained. High chairs and cots can be used free of charge (upon request and availability).

Board

The half board plus catering plan includes a welcome drink and a buffet style breakfast. In the afternoon guests can treat themselves to cake. At dinner, our cooks put together a 4-course menu. There is a children's menu at dinner. In addition, culinary delights await you at the themed buffet. Non alcoholic beverages (19:00 - 20:30) such as water, soft drinks and coffee and also alcoholic beverages (19:00 - 20:30) such as beer, white wine and red wine are included. A Christmas menu will also be served at Christmas (24/12/2026), on New Year's Eve a festive menu will be offered.

Important notes

• Minimum age sauna area: 6 years
• Sauna area: Children must be accompanied by an adult
• When booking several-bed rooms or rooms with extra beds, there is no entitlement to the additional beds in the event of under-occupancy.
• This accommodation is not wheelchair-accessible.
• Due to the house’s unique location, the only way to reach it is via the Garfreschabahn chair lift (last ascent at 4.00 pm; valid only with a valid lift pass; outside the lift pass’s validity period, a pedestrian ticket must be purchased on site). Warm clothing is recommended for the ascent and the subsequent 5-minute walk from the top station across the piste to the hotel. Your luggage will be transported to the hotel via the hotel’s own equipment cable car (Saturdays from 8.30 am) or by chair lift (for a fee). You can park at the Garfreschabahn valley station (long-stay car park).
• Pets must travel on the chair lift on arrival and departure!
• If you do not have a valid lift pass for the day, you must purchase a pedestrian ticket on arrival or departure: approx. €8
• Children aged 7 or under (at time of departure) are generally not issued a lift pass voucher. For each adult lift pass purchased, one accompanying child in this age group receives a free ticket for the use of the lift systems on site (ID required). If there are more children travelling with you than adults or if you do not meet the promotion requirements, a corresponding lift pass must be purchased on site. • If you have booked equipment through us, the ski hire shop is located in Gaschurn (approx. 7 km away).
