Ski area SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental

With the lift pass "SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental" you have access to one of the largest interconnected ski regions in Austria! On numerous occasions, SkiWelt has won prizes as one of the best ski areas in the world. 90 modern lifts, 254 km of piste (of which 254 km can be covered with artificial snow) including 23 km of ski routes, as well as three snow parks offer unlimited skiing fun. Regardless if you are young or old, novice or professional – SkiWelt has something for everyone. Hopfgarten is connected to the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser via the local mountain Hohe Salve. An 8-person cable car takes you comfortably up 1,200 m to the mid-mountain station, where the fun begins.

The 3.5 km long valley descent to Itter via Hohe Salve awaits skiers with stamina and good condition. The Salvista descent caters for free-riders, and boarders can let loose at the snow park Söll with tables, kicker, and rails. Westendorf and Ellmau also have snow parks with quarter-pipe and other challenging features. Real enjoyment is to be had here with 77 places to relax, have a drink and perhaps a bite to eat.

A fantastic experience in Austria's largest night ski area should not be missed: freshly prepared and lit pistes attract even locals who blend in with the visitors, everyone sweeping down the slopes together.

In time for the winter season 2015/2016, a special attraction in terms of lift comfort is opening in Hopfgarten: the new 6-person chair lift Schernthannbahn offers heated seating, comfortable cushioning, a light blue coloured weather protection guard and automated clamp closure as well as an automated boarding aid. The latter is a lift table which recognises when children want to board. This lift proves that lifts can always get that bit more comfortable and safe.

If you are going on holiday together with your children, or if in fact you yourself have a thing for fairytales, you should definitely check out the new 10-person "discovery"-gondola in SkiWelt Söll. Interesting experiences built around the theme "Hans in Luck" await you!

By upgrading to the "Super Ski Card" lift pass (see Ski Region), you get access to over 2 750 km of piste and 937 lifts in 23 ski regions in Tyrole and Salzburg.

The SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental offers the special experience of night time skiing in the three ski areas Söll, Brixen and Westendorf. The absolute highligh is the SkiWelt Söll, which is the largest night ski area in Austria! 10 km of prepared pistes on altogether 5 pistes are illuminated until night-time. Three times per week, from Wednesday to Saturday, winter sports fans can enjoy night skiing in the area surrounding the Hochsöll gondola, as well as nearby the chair lifts Keat and Hexen6er until 21:30. The fun area "Hans im Glück" at the four person chair lift is also illuminated for night-time shredding. A natural toboggan run at Hochsöll gondola as well as various ski huts round off the offer. Night skiing in Söll has its price: a separate lift pass has to be acquired in order to enjoy the special offers.

Completely free-of-carge are the night ski pistes in Brixen and Westendorf. At Schusterbühel lift nearby Brixen you can find a 300 m blue night skiing piste that is illuminated until 19:00. The beginner's area at the 4-person chair lift with a 500 m night skiing piste is available for beginners every Tuesday. Is the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental ski area not right for you?
