Ski area Rittisberg/Dachsteingletscher
The ski area of Ramsau am Dachstein - Rittisberg (1,600 m) and Dachstein glacier (2,700 m) offers 30 km of varying pistes. The Rittisberg is particularly popular among beginner skiers and snowboarders due to its mostly easy to middle-difficult pistes. Children can let off steam in "Kalis Kinderland" at the foot of the mountain, and will also find the longest fairy tale run in Austria (3 km).
The Dachstein glacier has more pistes for advanced skiers. The 18 km long Edelgrieß ski route with 1,500 m difference in elevation is the most challenging descent on the glacier. A highlight is the intersection of the glacier with the Hallstätter See, which stretches 20+ km and boasts incredible views. For the way back, ski buses are available three times a week between Hallstatt and Schladming.
If you want to review your day on the piste you can log on to Skiline with your ski pass number and see your used services such as used lifts, the amount of kilometres you skied or how many metres in height you passed.
Important Note
Please note that skiing on the Dachstein glacier will be suspended in the winter season 2022/23.
