Mörtschach

The lovely resort Mörtschach is situated at an altitude of 950 m, between the imposing Grossglockner Massive, the Lienz Dolomites, the Schober Massif and the Kreuzeck Massif. With a total area of approx. 1,856 km², the Hohe Tauern National Park is the largest nature preserve in the Alps and includes impressive glaciers and rock faces.

Großglockner

In midst of the Hohe Tauern the majestic Großglockner rises up to 3,798 m altitude - Austria's highest mountain. The region around the Hohe Tauern is still known today as the cradle of Alpine tourism. The ski area of Heiligenblut guarantees snow way into spring, due to it's location on a main mountain crest and the ski area's altitude of 1,301 to 2,989 metres.
