Ski area Hochkössen

The Hochkössen ski area is Kössen's local mountain with 11 lift systems and 22 kilometres of piste. The family-friendly ski area reaches up to 1,688 metres and is considered one of the most reliable ski areas in Tyrol in terms of snow. Thanks to its geographical location on the northern edge of the Alps, the pistes are open from mid-December to the beginning of April, with additional snow-making facilities also covering the valley descent. From Kössen, the modern 6-seater gondola lift takes you up to the rustic Bärenhütte. While beginners can enjoy themselves on the sunny high plateau, the "black" descent to the valley is a special treat for experts. At the Unterbergalmen and partly also on the descent to the valley you will find great deep snow areas, which are also secured.
