Ski area Ski Lungau

The lift pass "Ski Lungau" gives you access to altogether 150 kilometres of piste within the ski areas Katschberg/Aineck, Fanningberg and Grosseck/Speiereck as well as the smaller lift systems of St. Michael, Schönfeld, Zederhaus and Lessach.

In Katschberg, the ski area "Skischaukel Katschberg/Aineck" offers a total of 70 km of entertaining pistes, between 1,660 and 2,220 m altitude. 16 modern lifts bring you up the mountains easily and comfortably, long waiting times and queuing are unknown here. The areas "Aineck" and "Tschaneck" are connected via a freely floating ski bridge which can be crossed either on skis or via the magic carpet. It's not only practical, it's also a special experience for everyone who comes this way. The mainly intermediate pistes are especially suited for experienced skiers and pros, who prefer the Tschaneck piste, or the Direttissima at the Aineck. But of course beginners can also practice their first swings on skis here. The huge "Katschis Kinderland" is great for the little ones to keep them entertained! In Katschberg-Aineck as well as Grosseck-Speiereck and Obertauern you can leave your skiers on in the evening as the flood lights will be turned on several times per week.

The ski area Grosseck-Speiereck in St. Michael offers a diverse 50 kilometres of piste and 11 lifts. With its length of approx. 8.5 km, the valley run from Speiereck to St. Michael is a special highlight. The area is suited for both families with kids as well as ambitious skiers. Twice a week you can also go night skiing.

The Fanning mountain is especially family-friendly, and apart from a challenging steep run nearby Zirbenjet, the slopes here are wonderfully flat and broad, being perfect for beginners and children. Apart from that there is an excellent carving run and at Fanni-Kinderpark, the little ones are cared for lovingly.

Après ski Katschberg

In Katschberg you will surely not suffer boredom! Those who still have enough energy after a day on the piste can steer down to one of the numerous apres ski bars, e.g. the "Gramskogelhütte" at 1,850 m altitude, to enjoy a refreshing drink and some music.

If you are specifically looking to remain active throughout the day, you will find various sporty alternatives available to engage in. No matter if you want to try the 30 km long winter hiking trail, a snowshoe tour from Katschberg to the Laussnitztal, ice climbing in the Maltatal or the Ebenwald and Katschberg toboggan runs, you will be sure to find an adventure in front of a magnificent mountain panorama.

For all those who don't mind a bit of romance, there is the possibility to go on a horse-drawn sleigh ride. That will surely make your heart melt. All this and so much more makes this area especially family-friendly, but also attracts couples and smaller groups.

Snowpark: Snowpark Katschberg

The "Skischaukel" at the Aineck offers a small, but nice funpark area, where beginners, as well as freestyle pros will feel at home. Various obstacles, such as rails and boxes, a corner and even a (small) half-pipe are waiting to be discovered.

The Kicker Line comprises carefully shaped jumps of varying sizes. The park's shapers are sure that everyone will find their personal favourite obstacle here!
