Ski area Muttereralmpark - Mutters/Götzens
Cracks can also try out the "Götzner Abfahrt" which was used as reserve track for the Olympic Games in 1964 and 1976. It one of the nicest forest descents in Austria. Several snow cannons ensure that there is no lack of snow!
The children's and beginner's area is situated at 1,800 m and is, therefore, very snow-sure. Cosy lodges in the ski area, as well as the restaurant at the Muttereralm lift mountain station invite you in for refreshments.
Après ski Götzens
In addition to the many party and leisure possibilities in Götzens, Magic Mountain Hotels and Clubs offer you a varied programme. These include snowshoe hikes, tobogganing, bob sledding, ice skating, winter torchlight hikes and ski races with award ceremonies.
The ski area Mutteralm- Mutters/Götzens is also the first ski area in Austria with a permanent slope for the sporting highlight with its Fat- and Snowbike trail. The route leads over the FIS route into the valley. A great experience for all those who don't just want to conquer the slope on skis. For those who prefer to relax in the evening, an excursion to the leisure centre in Axams, where you will find an indoor swimming pool with sauna area, is worthwhile.
If this is not enough, a trip to Innsbruck, only 10 km away, is recommended. In the capital of Tyrol you will find rich culture and entertainment on offer that leaves nothing to be desired.
Snowpark: Snowpark Götzens
In the Muttereralm ski area, the approx. 3 km long MAP snowpark can be found. Situated between the mountain and middle station, the park offers younger boarders excellent opportunities to fine tune their skills.
In Axamer Lizum, however, there is a real gem to be found: the "Olympia SkiWorld Innsbruck". At the valley station of the Olympic lifts, freestylers can jump on kickers, boxes and tubes to their hearts' desire. Both beginners and pros can have loads of fun here. The location, found directly at the tow lift and at the Café Restaurant Liz, provides a great view of the park and the riders.
Of course, the region has even more parks to offer: e.g. the "Nitro Skyline Park" or the fun park at the Rangger Köpfl.
