Brandnertal - Brand/Bürserberg Ski area

With the VitaminB Pass Brandnertal, you have access to 64 kilometres of slopes (including ski routes). The slopes are predominantly easy to moderately difficult and therefore ideal for families, leisure skiers and anyone who enjoys carving out their turns in peace. Comfort is a top priority: chairlifts and gondola lifts take you quickly and comfortably to the most beautiful runs and mountain huts. In total, the Brandnertal ski area offers three runs, each with a vertical drop of 1,000 metres.

The Brandnertal lifts are regarded as a true Vorarlberg skiing gem. The two charming mountain villages of Brand and Bürserberg are linked by a spectacular panoramic cable car at an altitude of around 1,700 metres. It’s the perfect stop to relax and enjoy the diversity of the ski area.

Since the winter of 2025/26, the new Loischkopfbahn in Bürserberg has been providing even more comfort and fun in the snow. This modern cable car replaces the old "Einhornbahn II" and "Loischkopfbahn" chairlifts, taking winter sports enthusiasts even faster and more comfortably right into the heart of the slopes – with a fantastic view of the snow-covered mountains.

Even away from the slopes, variety is a top priority in the Brandnertal: experience sporting adventures on a ski tour along the signposted ski touring routes, or make the most of the popular ski touring evenings in the Bürserberg and Palüd areas. For fast-paced winter fun without skis, there’s also night tobogganing on the perfectly groomed "Eggen" toboggan run and the trendy Snooc – an ingenious mix of skiing and tobogganing that you can hire at the Dorfbahn in Brand.

A highlight for families is Brandolin’s Fox Park, the publicly accessible children’s area in the Palüd section of the ski resort. Here, the little ones can practise their first turns in a playful way. A conveyor belt and a T-bar lift, child-friendly slopes and lovingly designed figures make getting started with skiing a real pleasure. This is also where you’ll find the public timing course "WISBI" (How fast am I? course), where fun for the whole family is guaranteed and the question of who will be the family’s next ski star is finally answered.

Freestylers take note: in the Eggen section of the ski resort, by the Tannleger lift, the Backyards Snowpark has been waiting for you since last year! Rails, boxes and varied kicker lines offer the best conditions for beginners and pros alike who want to improve their skills. The snowpark is perfectly integrated into the terrain and is a real must-visit for anyone looking for action and style in the snow. The Fun Run is also located near the Backyards Snowpark. With steep bends, undulating sections and some cool obstacles – such as a xylophone – children and adults alike can enjoy a fun ride down the slope.

Après ski in Brandnertal - Brand/Bürserberg

Après-ski enthusiasts flock to the Brandnertal, particularly to the numerous pubs in Brand – the entertainment on offer ranges from traditional live music to beats from the turntable. Those who prefer a more active outing can set off on a discovery tour along the numerous winter walking trails – past the mysterious stone circles or up to the Tschegla high plateau. At the Alpe Rona there, walkers can not only take a break with fresh alpine produce, but also watch the dairyman at work making cheese. Thrilling toboggan rides aren’t limited to the 1.4 km-long toboggan run in Bürserberg itself. A total of four toboggan runs are scattered across the Brandnertal valley – the longest, at almost 10 km, is the Schattenlagant toboggan run in Brand. On Tuesdays, night tobogganing is also available in Brand. You can get detailed information on site.

However, for those who really want to experience something special, there are two real highlights. Firstly, there are the 17 huskies owned by Anton Kuttner, alias "Husky Toni", who takes his guests on snowshoe walks with the dogs or on dog sled rides. Children are trained as little sledge drivers at the sled dog school. Things get even more adventurous with a top-class climbing experience: in the Flurschrofa ice-climbing area, the challenge is to conquer an icy waterfall.

Snowpark Brandnertal - Brand/Bürserberg: Backyards snow park

The "Backyards" snow park in Brandnertal is one of the longest fun parks in Vorarlberg with three areas: the Trashyard, the Woodyard and the Boneyard. The Boneyard forms the centrepiece of the park and is particularly suitable for professional freestylers. They can perform their most adventurous tricks on a 15-metre table kicker, two 12-metre scooters, two jiblines and a large wall.

The Trashyard (two lines with three obstacles each) is designed in the look of a big city backyard, as befits its name: In addition to the standard rails and boxes, there are "trash obstacles" such as oil drums, car tyres and rusty pipes.

In the Woodyard, the standard obstacles are complemented by sliding tree trunks and a wooden wall. The park can be reached via the Palüd 8-seater gondola lift.
