Location

The Zum Stern hotel is located approx. 1,7 km away from the centre of Bad Hofgastein. The Schlossalmbahn cable car, which is approx. 1,1 km away, will take you to the ski area. Cross-country skiing trails can be reached within about 2 km. You can experience a rush of adrenaline on a well-prepared toboggan run approx. 6 km away from the hotel. Ski buses stop right at the door. The Bad Hofgastein railway station can be reached after approx. 4,3 km. Nearby shopping opportunities can be reached within approx. 600 m, local cafés and restaurants can be accessed within approx. 300 m.

Facilities

The hotel offers various amenities, such as a reception, Wi-Fi, a library, a common room, a lift, a breakfast room, a hotel restaurant, a hotel bar and a wine cellar. Guests can store their ski and snowboarding equipment in a ski cellar. Drivers can use a parking lot - subject to availability.

Spa

The 800 m² large Sternreich wellness area invites its guests to indulge body and soul. Your accommodation features an indoor pool. When it’s time to rest and recharge, visit a Finnish sauna, an organic sauna, a whirlpool, a steam bath, an infrared cabin and a tepidarium. Other options for unwinding include a Kneipp basin complex and an ice grotto. Let the stress of everyday life dissipate in the relaxation room or recharge in the refreshment area with tea, water and juice bar. Guests can request a wellness bag containing a bathrobe as well as a pair of slippers. Massages are available at a surcharge and help encourage an overall sense of well-being.

Children

The children's playroom offers a range of play experiences for young guests, no matter the weather. Cots are provided at a surcharge, high chairs can be used free of charge (upon request and availability).

Entertainment

Sports facilities and activities at the hotel include a gym. Guests can hire Nordic Walking sticks - subject to availability.

Board

The half board plus catering plan includes a welcome drink and a buffet style breakfast with an organic food assortment as well as egg dishes. In the afternoon guests can treat themselves to cake. At dinner, our cooks put together a 4-course menu of choice. You are invited to join our gala dinner served 1 x a week. On request, we also serve lactose-free dishes, gluten-free, vegetarian as well as vegan alternatives.

  • This accommodation is not wheelchair-accessible.
  • When booking several-bed rooms or rooms with extra beds, there is no entitlement to the additional beds in the event of under-occupancy.
  • Use of the lifts is free of charge for children aged 5 or under in the Gastein Valley. If your child uses the lifts in other ski areas of the Ski amadé independently, a Minicard (lift pass) may have to be purchased on site.
