Location

The comfortable 4-star Hotel Gasthof-Post is located right in the centre of Abtenau. Access to the ski area is possible via the "Karkogel" lift, which is around 1.5 km away. There is a practice lift for beginners about 500 metres from the accommodation. The cross-country ski trail network is around 1 km away. You can also get active on the toboggan run approx. 1.5 km from the hotel. Ski buses stop approx. 80 metres away. Golliing an der Salzach railway station is around 18 km away.

Facilities

The hotel facilities include a reception, Wi-Fi, library, lift, breakfast room, hotel restaurant and hotel bar. There is a garden in the outdoor area. You can store your winter sports equipment in a ski cellar. There are parking spaces on site - subject to availability.

Spa

In the spa area you will find a heated indoor pool with a counter-current system. The solarium can be used for a fee. You can use the hut sauna in the garden area.

Board

Board when booking Rooms with half board includes a welcome drink and a breakfast buffet. In the evening, you will be served a 4-course menu of your choice with a salad bar. You can also indulge in culinary delights at the themed buffet. Guests also receive coffee and cake once a week. On New Year's Eve there is a New Year's Eve menu. Special dietary cuisine, vegetarian and vegan alternatives are also available on request.

Important notes

  • When booking several-bed rooms or rooms with extra beds, there is no entitlement to the additional beds in the event of under-occupancy.
  • Children aged 4 or under travel free of charge, but dinner is not included. Dinner can be selected from the menu and paid for on site (see information on site).
  • Active Family promotion: 07/03/2026 - 06/04/2026. When booking for 5 or more days, children born in 2010 or afterwards (ID required) receive a free multi-day ticket. The prerequisite is that at least one parent purchases a multi-day ticket of 5 days or more for the same period. If there are more children travelling with you than adults or if you do not meet the promotion requirements, a corresponding lift pass must be purchased on site.
