In the Dachstein West region, cross-country skiing fans will find an extensive network of approx. 223 kilometres of trails that leave nothing to be desired. Most of them are located around Abtenau (approx. 60 km). Here you will find mainly easy trails, such as the floodlit trail on the Karkogel and the high altitude cross-country ski trail on the Postalm, where snow is guaranteed. 22 kilometres of skating trails and a free basic cross-country skiing course round off the offer.
