Après ski Chamonix

The resort of Chamonix is the glittering centre of all sports fans, adventurers and partygoers. You can find a mix of extreme athletes, free riders and regular vacationists. Everyone who comes here looking for a great après ski location will hit a gold mine. To kick off the evening, it's worth going to one of the pubs or bars with live music, like "Chambre Neuf" or "L'Arbate". Further hot spots are the "White hub" or the "Quarz bar", which interior design is inspired by crystals. Afterwards you can head on to clubs like "Dick's Tea". The bars and restaurants, which are spread out over the resort, also cater for those who want a more cultured or low-key evening. Those who like it calm will go on a shopping trip in the resort centre or try their luck in the casino.

With a comprehensive sports and entertainment programme, even sports fans will get their money's worth. An artificial ice rink, public indoor pool, two tennis/squash courts, climbing hall, sauna and fitness centre offer sufficient sporting opportunities. Thrills can be got paragliding or ice climbing. You can also explore the nature on the winter hiking paths aroung Chamonix or during a snow shoe hike against the backdrop of Mont Blanc. Chamonix is worth a visit simply because of its several architectural layers - marvel at facades in Art Deco syle, at Hotels built in the Belle Epoque, old farms and huge villa, chalets that are rich in contrast and old churches. The Alpine museum is a must-see for Alpinists.
