Ski area Hochzeiger
The sunny slopes at the Sechszeiger are particularly beautiful. There are also numerous freeride opportunities on the treeless mountain flanks. Things get challenging at the Rotmoosbahn: this is where the mogul runs, ski routes, race courses and speed measurement sections are located. The 1.5 km-long Zirbenfall run also offers a special challenge; with a gradient of 80% and a vertical drop of 945 m, it is the most difficult run in the ski resort. Freestylers can let off steam in the fun park at the Hochzeiger midway station. Night owls will have a great time on the 6 km-long toboggan run, which is floodlit once a week in the evening.
The ski resort is not only ideal for advanced skiers, but also for families. The family-friendly extras include the excellent facilities offered by the children’s ski schools: transfers from all parts of the valley to the slopes, a children’s ski school and ski nursery, a trail teaching the rules of the slopes, as well as child-friendly mountain huts and the Kinderland – a separate practice area exclusively for children featuring a children’s carousel, a warm-up area and the Pitzi-Express.
Après ski Hochzeiger
For activities away from the piste, the many winter hiking trails on which you can explore the Pitztal are particularly popular. One highlight is the impressive ice waterfalls, a Mecca for ice climbing. Depending on the weather and temperature, up to 45 ice climbing routes are available. Several toboggan runs invite you to enjoy a fun toboggan ride. The longest toboggan run (6 km) can be easily reached with the gondola lift on the Hochzeiger and leads down from the Zeiger restaurant - once a week in the evening thanks to lighting. The restaurants in the villages also invite you to enjoy cosy evenings.
Snowpark Hochzeiger: Hochzeiger snow park
The Hochzeiger snow park is perfectly shaped with easy and medium difficulty levels. Both beginners and advanced riders can let off steam here and whizz over boxes and kickers.
The park is located above the Hochzeiger middle station at approx. 2,250 metres. This means there are no long access routes, but a good and even rhythm between the runs. Adrenaline rushes and lots of fun await snowboarders and freeskiers!
