Ski area Zillertal Arena

With the "Zillertaler Superskipass" you can choose from 506 kilometres of piste in Hochfügen, at Spieljoch, in the Hochzillertal, the Zillertal Arena (Zell, Gerlos, Königsleiten, Wald, Krimml and Gerlosstein), at the Penken, at the Ahorn, at the Horberg, in the "Ski and Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000" (Finkenberg, Eggalm, Rastkogl, Hintertux Glacier) and at the Wildkogel-Arena at Bramberg. The ski areas are all excellently linked to one another by a free train and bus shuttle.

Gerlos gives you direct entrance to the Ziller Valley Arena, which is joined to Zell am Ziller and with this 143 km of excellently prepared pistes. Here in the extensive Ziller Valley ski area 59 lifts take you quickly and comfortably up to 2500 m altitude. From there you have the choice of many different descents. One of the hardest pistes is the 2.5 km long "Abfahrt Nr. 36" in the Krummbach valley with an altitude difference of 613 m. The longest descent, the 9 km long valley run goes from "Stoanmandl" on to "Ebenfeld" and to the "Isskogl" valley station. You can get back into the resort by a total of 4 valley runs.

Together with the Isskogel lift the new Dorfbahn lift in Gerlos with take you to the heart of Zillertal arena. The 10 person cabin was opened in 2016/17 and comprises a large valley station with sports shop, ski hire and ski depot as well as more than 200 new parking places.

Powder snow and freeride fans will definitely get their money's worth in Falschbach, freestylers will be in their element at the "Hot Zone Snowpark" in Gerlos with tables, rails and jumps. But the 100 m long and 18 m wide Mega-Halfpipe guarantees fun for boarders! Children's slopes and a ski-kindergarten with special children's programme will keep the little one's entertained.

A highlight whilst in the Ziller Valley is a trip to the Hintertux Glacier. Due to its size and demanding pistes, it truly is one of the best glaciers in the Alps!
