Ski area Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn

So far, the ski area Fieberbrunn was known as the "best hidden ski area in the Alps" and as an insider tip for freeriders, deep powder snow fans and snowboarders. This has now changed! The ski connection "TirolS" opened up in December 2015, connecting Fieberbrunn with the neighbouring interconnected ski areas of Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang! The new lift pass "Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn" will give you access to unbelievable 270 km of piste and 70 lifts - crossing the boarder of Tyrol and Salzburg. According to its new motto "two federal states, one ski lift", the new Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn is one of the largest ski areas in the world. Only a 10-person gondola puts the new connection into practice and increases the offer of pistes by 20 percent. The new gondola runs from the valley station Reckmoos-South to the middle station at the valley of Hörndlingergraben, and finally up to the Reiterkogel, i.e. the ski area's centre.

In the winter of 2016/2017, the Skicircus got yet another upgrade: The Schönleiten lift in Vorderglemm has been revamped from a standing gondola into a comfortable, sit-down cable car and the new 12-person Express allows for a seamless connection between the Zwölferkogel and the Westgipfel.

Even if the large interconnected ski area is nearby, experienced skiers will not be bored when staying in the Fieberbrunn ski area. Directly next to the Reckmoos lift, adventure seekers can, for example, look forward to wonderful deep powder snow areas. The flood-lit halfpipe "Lord of the Boards" is a top-class experience for snowboarders. The black mogul piste at the Reckmoos is especially demanding.

If you're planning to explore even more ski areas than those within the new lift connection, we recommend upgrading your lift pass to the Super Ski Card (see ski region). It is valid for the ski areas of, for example, Wilder Kaiser - Brixental, Schneewinkel, and Ski Juwel (Alpbachtal and Wildschönau). The lift pass invites you to experience limitless skiing fun in 25 ski regions in Tyrol and Salzburg on 2,794 kilometres of piste!

Night skiing is possible in numerous ski areas in Austria, as these night ski areas offer pistes that are open outside the lifts' regular opening hours. The Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn offers the nearest night ski piste nearby Fieberbrunn. The floodlit piste is approx. 500 m long and can be found at Schanteillift in Leogang. Skiing at night time takes place from Christmas to approx. the middle of March every Monday, Thursday and Saturday between 19:00 and 21:50 (effective winter 16/17). A further illuminated piste for night skiing opens from Mondays to Saturdays until 21:30 (effective winter 16/17) at Unterschwarzachbahn lift in Hinterglemm which takes to to the starting point of the night ski piste. Apart from night time skiing on the approx. 1.2 km piste, freestylers can let off steam on kickers and ramps in the nearby Nightpark. Night owls with a valid lift pass can go night skiing for free.
