Ski area Axamer Lizum

The lift pass "Axamer Lizum" enables access to a total of 30 kilometres of piste and 10 km of ski routes between 1,580 and 2,340 m altitude! Axamer Lizum belongs to the Olympia Ski Region Innsbruck and gained in popularity, as being the venue of the Alpine Winter Games back in 1964 and 1976. Due to its great location and 25 snow cannons that assist in covering up to 80% of the pistes, snow is guaranteed between December and April. These pistes have already seen ski pros such as Rosi Mittermaier, who won her Olympic Gold medal here.

The intermediate Olympic run at Hoadl is especially nice and can even be managed by less experienced skiers. At Birgitzköpfl, the most challenging run of the area commences to descend down partly mogul slopes, over a total of 2.5 km, right down to the valley station. Moreover, the challenging pistes at the Hoadl and Pleisen and extensive free ride areas will get the hearts of pros and freeriders pumping. At the valley station of the Olympia lift there is also a diverse snow park with tables, slides and jumps to try out.

Even more fun on the piste awaits you with the "Ski plus City Pass", which grants you access to an unforgettable 308 km of diverse pistes (see ski region).

There are several free Wi-Fi hotspots in the ski area, so that you can share your experience immediately with your friends and family.

Après ski Axams

A day of skiing in Axamer Lizum can be finished off very well with après ski. Restaurants, après ski bars and a disco are located directly at the valley station. Here, you can enjoy the sun and party hard. A special tip is the umbrella bar Hoadl at the mountain station of the Olympic runway with view to the Kalkkögl and Stubai Alps. At the Hoadl house, there are regular events with radio stations.

The toboggan run at Axams (approx. 3.9 km) offers more action and is even illuminated until midnight. Winter hikers and snowshoe hikers can also pursue their passion.

In the ski area Mutteralm- Mutters/Götzens, only about 8 km away, you also have the possibility to ski the first permanent route of Austria for Fat- and Snowbike tours. The route leads over the FIS route into the valley. A great experience for all those who don't just want to conquer the slope on skis. A visit to the leisure centre in Axams is a great way to relax. There is an indoor swimming pool with heated outdoor pool and a large sauna area as well as ice rinks for ice skating and curling. For those who still want to go high, there is also a bouldering hall available.
