Ski vacations Alpbachtal - holiday in the heart of Tyrol!

The Alpbachtal lies in the heart of Tyrol, only a stone's throw away from the well-known Zillertal. Mass tourism is not (yet) known here; tradition and a rustic comfortable atmosphere are at the top of the list. With the newly built connection to the ski areas in Wildschönau the "Ski Juwel" (skiing jewel) now presents 113 km of pistes, as well as 16 km of sign-posted ski routes, and therefore the area is counted to the top 10 in Tyrol. Equipped with most modern snow-making technology, Wildschönau and the Alpbachtal offer great snow conditions. Additionally, approx. 70 km of tracked cross-country runs, 110 km of winter hiking trails and numerous activities ensure that there is enough variety. In the evenings, the bars, restaurants and discos entice with their high-spirited après ski, partly with rustic atmosphere.

Alpbach

The cosy main resort of Alpbach (975 m), was declared the "loveliest village in Austria" in the 1980s and was voted "best small skiing village in Europe" in 2004. The village lies in the inner Alpbachtal on a sunny plateau with a heavenly view and direct access to the ski area at the Wiedersberger Horn. As Inneralpbach forms the head of the valley, peace and tranquillity reigns here, without disturbing traffic. Alpbach entices its guests with …

Breitenbach

Only a few kilometres from the German-Austrian border is Breitenbach, nestled between the Inn Valley's soft hilly landscape, the steeply rising mountain peaks in Alpbachtal and the impressive panorama of the Kitzbühel Alps. Customs and tradition are looked after here, which earnt the village the "Europagemeinde" (Europe community) accolade. Restaurants and "Stuben" parlours spoil with Tyrolean delicacies. The winter hiking paths around …

Kramsach

The community of Kramsach (520 m) lies in Tyrol's lower Inn Valley, on the northern shore of the Inn, and scatters itself on the alluvial fan of the Brandenberger Ache across from Rattenberg. Due to the six surrounding lakes, it is also known as "Seendorf" (Village of Lakes), and offers the perfect atmosphere for a rejuvenating holiday. Numerous leisure activities, e.g. ice skating or ice hockey on a frozen lake ensure entertainment, and …

Reith

Only a short distance from the Wiedersberger Horn, at the entrance to the Alpachtal, the small community of Reith can be found at approx. 640 m altitude. Where silver and copper were originally mined, today one can find a winter sports resort, which is especially suitable for families with children who are experiencing their first attempts on skies. Departing from the village, an 8-person gondola takes you up Reither Kogel within only 5 min. For …
