Where to go skiing in Switzerland?

Most of Switzerland’s area is occupied by the Alps, which makes Switzerland a top skiing destination. The country is known worldwide for its high peaks. You’ll find most of the ski resorts in southeast Switzerland. The Bernese Oberland offers many well-known resorts, such as Grindelwald and Meiringen-Hasliberg. Further south, the Wallis is home to Switzerland’s landmark, the Matterhorn (4,478 m), as well as incredible regions like Les 4 Valées, Les Portes du Soleil and Saas-Fee. Grison is the largest canton of Switzerland and is located next to Austria and Italy.

The canton is divided into four tourist regions: Zürich Lake, the metropolis St. Gallen, Toggenburg with its gentle hilly landscape, and Heidiland with the skier's paradise Flumser Mountain. The well-known ski areas of St. Gallen lie in the South of the canton: apart from Flumser Mountains, you have Pizol and the Wildhaus-Unterwasser-Alt-St. Johann, which mainly attracts families.
