Ski area Chamonix

With the lift pass "Chamonix Le Pass" you have access to 8 different ski areas with a total of 114 km all along the Chamonix valley. The lift pass comprises the areas Brévent/Frégère, Balme Tour, Vallorcine, Vormaine, Chosalets, Savoy, Planards and the Grands Montets (not including the peak pass). From soft rolling hills right up to challenging forest descents - the areas offer wonderfully diverse terrain for pleasure skiers and families. Further there is a remarkable freeride area, which is essentially what this region is known for. On the unsigned areas freeriders can make their own way over untouched, powdery fields. Hobby racers will prefer the prepared pistes, which are specially fitted with cameras. You can download your personal racing video and your statistics after the run.

Hot recommendation for all snowshoe hikers: directly in the ski area Domaine de Balme there is a grandiose snowshoe route which leads from the mountain station of the Vallorcine cable-car up along the Aiguille des Posettes trail. From here you can enjoy a magnificent mountain panorama view, which you should not miss.

If you are a more experienced skier and a looking for a bit more of a challenge, there is the possibility to upgrade the lift pass to "Mont Blanc Unlimited". With this lift pass you can access a total of 880 km of well-prepared descents. 241 lifts ensure the connection of the intermediate skill areas Aiguille du Midi, Balme tour - Vallocine, Brévent-Flégère, Les Grands Montets, Les Houches, the large ski areal Evasion Mont Blanc and Courmayeur on the Italian side and Verbier on the Swiss side of the border works smoothly.

A free ski bus connects the two lift pass areas in the validity area of "Chamonix Le Pass" and "Mont Blanc Unlimited".

Après ski Vallorcine

In the ski area Domaine de Balme there are three huts, which offer a really cosy atmosphere and are mostly well visited. In the restaurant "Chez Felisaz" on the L'Alpage de Balme you can enjoy typically Savoyard cuisine. Directly at the Autannes chair lift there is the "Chez Gilles Ducroz", which offers modern and traditional dishes on the menu. A snack bar with self-serve area is available in the "Le Chalet de Charamillon", right next to the Charamillon lift.

For a cosy nightcap you can pop by the some of the bars in Vallorcine, as for instance the L'Arrêt Bougnête" or the "Le Café Comptoir". Party animals however, are better advised to visit the big Après Ski Party in Chamonix.

In the resort itself there is a small ice rink available which is great for both adults and children, and behind the tourism information office there is a toboggan slope.

Snowpark: Snowpark Snow Bowl Vallorcine

The Snow Bowl Snowpark is located the middle station Lognan at the Grand Montets, in the ski area Chamonix Le Pass. Just as the snow park of Les 7 Laux, this park is also shaped by the Ho5Park team. It is located at approx. 2,000 m altitude and therefore guarantees accessibility from the beginning to the end of the season. The park offers a great selection for beginners and pros amongst the freestylers. Four different lines are only waiting to be explored: Snow Bowl, Jump Bowl, Smooth Bowl and Cross Bowl (boardercross). Kickers, rails and boxes of all levels (green, blue, red and black) provide great entertainment and enough space to burn off some energy.

The park stretches over approx. 700 m in length and the runs directly alongside the chair lift and the gondola - therefore easy to access. Attention freestylers: this park is definitively worth a visit!
