Ski area Alpe d'Huez Grand Domaine Ski

With the "Grand Domaine Ski" lift pass, you have access to the ski area of Alpe d'Huez, the majority of which is located on the south-southwest side of the "Massif des Grandes Rousses", therefore ensuring plenty of sunshine. The ski area (1,125 m - 3,330 m), with its 250 km of piste and 67 lifts counts as particularly snow-sure: 80% of the pistes lie above 1,800 m altitude!

The most spectacular piste, "La Sarenne", begins on the Sarenne glacier and runs along the front side of the Pic Blanc, continuing down into the valley. With a length of 16 km and a 1,730 m difference in altitude, it's one of the longest pistes in the world! Alternatively, the 3 km long, black, steep run "Le Tunnel" is only to be ridden by real experts, taking skiers from the Pic Blanc through a tunnel and out onto a mogul slope. The red pistes up on the "Dôme des Petits Rousses" are not as tricky, but are still rather demanding. The "Bartavelles" run in particular oftentimes provides skiers with good snow conditions and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, neighbouring valleys and impressive rock faces. Beginners will find perfect practice slopes on the resort edges of Alpe d'Huez and Vaujany. Freestylers are also optimally tended to: The fun park at the "Le Lac Blanc" chair lift is only recommended for real experts, although the "Montfrais" fun park is much easier and is designed for beginners looking to test out their first tricks.

Back during the 2016/2017 winter season, the "Signal" was transformed into a combination lift (10-person gondolas and 8-person chair lifts), thus transporting up to 3,370 winter sports fans per hour.

For those who still want to ski in the dark, there is the possibility of night skiing both in Alpe d'Huez and in Auris en Oisans with the Grand Domaine Ski pass free of charge. From 17/12/2022 to 17/03/2023 and from 25/03/2023 to 21/04/2023, you will also have the opportunity to use the Grande Galaxie ski areas from the 6-day ski pass: Ski in the ski area Les 2 Alpes (225 km) and in the ski areas Serre Chevalier (250 km), Puy St. Vincent (75 km) as well as in the ski areas around Sestrières and Montgenèvre of the Via Lattea (Italy, 400 km). To use the two ski areas of the Via Lattea, please pick up a receipt at the ticket office after presenting your lift pass.

Snowpark: Snowpark Alpe d'Huez

In the entire area of Alpe d'Huez there are 2 very different snow parks. The beginner park offers various boxes, rail-boxes, slide bars and woops. Beginners can try out quite a few things here, but also more experienced riders can use this park to practice their skills.

The second park is located in the ski area more for expert freestylers. The park is to be found close to the "Troncon" ski lift. Here there are some long BigAir kickers waiting to be used. Further the park offers various slide bars, a wave rail, a street rail, a C-box, a hip, 2 totems, a boardercross run and a half-pipe (which depends on the amount of snow). Kickers and rails are level-orientated and available in green, blue, red and black levels. Therefore, this is something for the more experienced boarders.

Furthermore, two different boardercross runs as wel as a large airbag that can be used with a tire offers fun for families and pros.
