Mountains all around you and in between a wide, sun-drenched high-alpine valley, which holds a town. That's Livigno (1,816 m). The resort appearance is dominated by the traditional "baite", as the typical wooden houses are called here. Thanks to it's southern orientation in the Lombard Alps Livigno profits from a large number of sunshine hours.
The popular ski area of this resort offers a total of 115 km of pistes to its visitors. The descents are located left and right alongside the valley and offer mostly wide, easy to intermediate pistes, which especially entice the pleasure riders. Top fun parks have advanced Livigno to a host for various international contests in the past. Resort and ski area are ideally connected, and so you can just ski down from the pistes directly on to the sunny terraces of the restaurants and bars in the valley.
Livigno is not only a paradise for winter sports fans, but also is well know by shopping-lovers. In the toll-free areas you can profit from the one or the other bargain!
