Val di Fassa-Carezza
Ski vacations Pozza - southern flair and fantastic skiing!
Val di FassaVal di Fassa is located in the southwest part of the Dolomites in Trentino and borders South Tyrol. The idyllic valley is dominated by some of the most famous Dolomite peaks, such as the Catinaccio group (2,983 m), the Langkofel (3.181 m), the mighty Sella group and the impressive Marmolada glacier (3,342 m). The small Avisio river meanders through the valley where three languages are spoken (German, Italian, Ladin) and passes many famous resorts.
With approx. 144 km of piste and 59 lifts, it is one of the largest ski areas in the Dolomiti-Superski union and furthermore offers a connection to the world-renowned Sella Ronda. Val di Fassa, where tourism is the biggest source of income, offers its guests, alongside a first class ski area, plenty to see and do such as diverse leisure activities encompassing sport and relaxation, tradition and culture, hospitality and obviously the great Trentino cuisine.
Pozza di Fassa (1,320 m) lies at the foot of the Rosengarten (2,983 m) in the centre of Val di Fassa, and attracts guests with its typical Mediterranean flair. Thanks to its central location, the resort is a great starting point from which to explore the area's landscape. Pozza is a bit of a quieter resort, perfect for families. The little alleyways with their cafés and bars with sun terraces invite to relax in the sun and have a coffee, cappuccino or campari after an active day skiing.
Culture buffs will find the Ladin museum and the natural ice rink invites guests to skate in front of the surrounding mountains' impressive landscape. In the "Dolomia" thermal springs, visitors can relax mind and body after an eventful day. The sulfurous source in Pozza is the only one in Trentino.
