Cross-country Anterselva (Rasen)
60 km km of cross-country tracks:
The Antholz Valley is known well outside the Italian border as a cross-country and biathlon Mecca! 70 kilometres of the best prepared tracks in various degrees of difficulty can be found in this idyllic valley, where the biathlon world cup annually takes place. The biathlon world championships have already been held five times, the last time in 2007, in the biathlon stadium "Südtirol Arena", situated near Lake Antholz. The tracks run largely at about 1,600 m and are very snow-sure.
The 10 km long high-altitude track at "Staller Sattel" is at a great 2000 m and offers wonderful views of the frozen lake. There are even circuits on the lake, under appropriate weather conditions. Numerous biathlon and cross-country courses are offered for those who would like to learn more about the sport.
