Ski area Alpe d'Huez Grand Domaine Ski

With the "Grand Domaine Ski" lift pass, you will have access to the ski area of Alpe d'Huez, most of which faces south-southwest, allowing for plenty of sunshine. When heading out from Vaujany, you can reach the pistes in just a few minutes thanks to the modern Vaujany-Alpette and Vaujany-Villette gondolas. The ski area (1,125 - 3,330 m), with its 250 km of piste and 67 lifts, counts as especially snow-sure: 80% of the pistes lie above 1,800 m altitude!

The most spectacular piste, the "La Sarenne", starts up on the Sarenne Glacier and runs along the front side of the Pic Blanc and down into the valley. With a length of 16 km, it is one of the longest pistes in Europe! The 3 km long, black, steep run "Le Tunnel" is only suitable for expert skiers, taking riders from the Pic Blanc through a tunnel and out onto a mogul piste. The red pistes up on the "Dôme des Petits Rousses" are not as tricky, but are still rarther demanding. The "Bartavelles" run in particular provides not only usually good snow conditions, but also breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes and neighbouring valleys, along with impressive rock faces. Beginners will find the perfect practice slopes at the resort edge of Alpe d'Huez and Vaujany. Snowboarders are also well tended to here: The fun park at the Le Lac Blanc chair lift is only for real experts. The second fun park, on the other hand, is much more beginner-friendly. In Vaujany, a beginner snow park can also be found.

For the 2016/2017 season, the "Signal" was transformed into a combination lift composed of 10-person gondolas and 8-person chair lifts, thus transporting up to 3,370 winter sports fans per hour. In addition, for the 2020/21 season, the new comfortable Clos Giraud ski lift, which combines chairs and cabins, was added for the new connection of the Monfrais and l'Alpette areas. This creates new opportunities for more comfortable access to more varied slopes and enables children in particular to reach the beginner's ski area much more quickly. The construction of the new l'Eau d'Olle Express gondola lift has also created a speedy entry into the ski area of around 8 minutes, from the village of Allemond via the Oz en Oisans station. This eliminates the need to take the mountain road, which is more than twice as long, and skiers can reach the foot of the pistes and lifts directly, which take them deeper into the ski area.

With your lift pass, you also have the option of using the swimming pool and the ice rink in Vaujany once each. From 17/12/2022 to 17/03/2023 and from 25/03/2023 to 21/04/2023, you also have the opportunity to use the Grande Galaxie ski areas from the 6-day ski pass: Ski in the ski area Les 2 Alpes (225 km) or in the ski areas Serre Chevalier (250 km), Puy St. Vincent (75 km) as well as in the ski areas Montgenèvre and the Via Lattea (Italy, 400 km). To use the latter two ski areas, a receipt must be collected from the ticket office on presentation of the lift pass.

Snowpark: Snowpark Alpe d'Huez Vaujany (Alpe d'Huez)

In Vaujany, or rather in the entire area of Alpe d'Huez, there are 2 different snow parks to be found. The beginner park Montfrais near Vaujany has various slide bars and jumps. This is ideal for beginners and the slightly more advanced to practice on.

The other park in the ski area is rather something for experts and is located close to the "Troncon" ski lift. Here are some long BigAir kickers, which are only waiting to be tried out. The park also has various slide bars, a wave rail, a street rail, a C-box, a hip, 2 totems, a boardercross run and a half-pipe (snow level-dependent). The kickers and rails are divided into various levels of difficulty: green, blue, red and black. This is really something for the pros in the boarder scene and will let their hearts beat faster.
