Ski area Grand Domaine
The 165 km of piste are primarily easy to intermediate, but there are also many demanding runs, moguls and countless deep snow variations. The most difficult run in the ski area is the 3 km long "Le Mottet" with an altitude drop of 600 m. In Valmorel you will find the fun park "Snow Zone" with tables, slides, jumps, a half-pipe and boarder cross. The large beginners' terrain, "Cheval Blanc" is known to be representative for its kind. Valmorel is snow-sure right through to mid-April, due to its location and numerous snow-making systems.
Après ski Valmorel
In the evening you can paint the town red in one of the many pubs or the disco. Before you go out partying, we recommend a meal in one of the numerous small restaurants, in which you can taste mouth-watering Savoyard and international specialities.
The resort itself offers colourful shows, sports and game programmes throughout the season. Further activities you can enjoy are tobogganing, ice climbing, hiking (approx. 60 km of trail), rides on a snow scooter or horse-drawn sleigh rides.
Snowpark: Snow Zone Snowpark Valmorel
Valmorel's house park "Snow Zone" is located directly at the tow lift "Le Gollet", in the ski area "Grand Domaine". Beginners and advanced skiers can practice their tricks and let off steam on the tables, slides, boxes and kickers. A boardercross route is available for speed junkies and the pros among you can go crazy on the 120 m long park-own half pipe.
Those looking for additional freestyle adventures will find a further snow park, right next to the ski lift "Le Rocher Blanc", in St. Francois-Longchamp. Additionally, there is a further boardercross route under the chairlift "La Lune Bleue".
