Ski area Ski Juwel

Due to the interconnection of the ski areas Wildschönau and Alpachtal, accessible with the in 2012 constructed gondola, the lift pass "Ski Juwel" offers a total of 109 km of piste including ski routes (for more sporty and daring riders up to 145 km of piste are possible). With this lift pass you have access to the ski areas Markbachjoch/Lanerköpfl, Oberau, Thierbach, Schatzberg, as well as Kramsach, Reither Kogel and Wiedersberger Horn. This sums up to a total of 49 possible access points incl. conveyor belts, located between 650 and 2,025 m altitude! Various levels of difficulties ensure that beginner, as well as pros can really enjoy themselves here.

In the winter season of 2017/18 there is something new at Schatzberg: the 4-person gondola is modernised and turned into an 8-person gondola, offering more comfort and shorter waiting times.

Families and pleasure skiers will most enjoy Schatzberg and Reither Kogel, where the little one's are in good hands in Bodo's children's club! Since 2016/17 there is the new Eva-Maria Brem giant slalom racing track at Reither Kogel where you can measure your speed! Ambitious skiers can swing down the northern mountain side of the Markbachjoch and Lanerköpfl, as well as speed through various deep powder snow areas and free rider areas with 16 km of marked ski routes.

Also those who love to ski under the stars can do so on the two illuminated pistes at Oberau. These various piste offers can be easily reached with complementary ski bus. For snowboard freaks there are various options to run riot: in the snow park at the Wiedersberger Horn, the fun park at Schatzberg and the Race'n'Board Arena in Niederau - all offering loads of fun and action!

Those, looking for some more diversity can upgrade the lift pass to the Super Ski Card (see Ski Region). You can access 25 ski regions in Tyrol and Salzburg, with 2,794 km of pistes, accessible via 925 lifts. Unlimited skiing fun!

If you want to go skiing at night time, the ski area Ski Juwel is one of the best night skiing areas in Austria. At Reither Kogel in Reith, there are 3 illuminated pistes with a total length of approx. 6 km. The lifts Reitherkogelbahn, Nordlift and Brandachlift are operating for night skiing every Friday and Saturday from 18:30 - 21:15. Additionally, the family piste is illuminated for ski touring every Tuesday at the same time, the lifts, however, are not open then. In Wildschönau nearby Oberaus, the Roggenboden ski area offers night skiing and night tobogganing on two broad pistes with snowmaking system on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 19:30 - 21:00. The tickets for night skiing in Reith and Roggenboden can each be acquired in resort. Is the Ski Juwel ski area not right for you? Then have a look here instead: Ski areas Austria
